Privacy policy

Updated 19 Oct 2026

This policy explains what personal information visitsylhet collects and how we use it.

What we collect

  • Details you give us in forms: name, mobile number, email, travel dates and messages.
  • Booking and payment records. Card and mobile wallet details are handled by SSLCommerz; we never see or store them.
  • Anonymous usage counts, such as how many times a listing was viewed or a WhatsApp button was tapped.

How we use it

  • To pass your enquiry or booking request to the partner you contacted.
  • To send booking updates by SMS, WhatsApp or email.
  • To show partners how their listing performs, without personal details of visitors.
  • To prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.

Sharing

We share your details only with the partner you contact, our payment provider, our SMS provider and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies: one to remember your language and, for partners, one to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

Photos of places are shown directly from Wikimedia Commons, so your browser connects to Wikimedia’s servers to load them. Wikimedia’s own privacy policy applies to those requests.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep enquiries and bookings for up to three years for accounting and dispute handling, then delete them. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
