Khasi family homestays in the punjis across the Piyain river at Jaflong, set up with the Tourism Board and ILO in 2025.
A community-based tourism scheme launched in April 2025 by the Bangladesh Tourism Board and the ILO lets visitors stay with Khasi families in the punjis across the Piyain river from Jaflong Zero Point. Rooms are simple, with improved toilets, and hosts serve home-cooked food. Visitors cross by boat from Ballar Ghat; a community restaurant serves meals.
