A blue lake in an old limestone quarry at Tekerghat, with green hills rising behind.
Niladri Lake fills a former limestone quarry near the border. The water is a vivid blue against grassy mounds and the hills beyond. It was a regular stop on Tanguar houseboat trips; since the August 2026 ban on houseboats in the haor’s protected area, it can still be reached by road from Tahirpur.

Can be visited all year.
By motorbike from Tahirpur to Tekerghat, or by a registered boat on a permitted route (reported in August 2026 to run through Matian Haor and along the Baulai); ask locally first.
